Charcoal Warmth in Kashmir

Winters are harsh in Kashmir. As is the process of keeping warm. Photographs capture women making charcoal of fallen leaves and twigs on the outskirts of Anantnag district in South Kashmir. The charcoal is used in Kashmiri fire pots (kangris) through winter.
