Bandipora created history in football as the first night football match was played on Wednesday night under floodlights between Real Kashmir and Mohammedan Sports Sopore in Share Kashmir Sports Stadium, Bandipora.
It was the semi final match of the ongoing Late Sofi Ghulam Mohd Football Memorial Tournament and ended with a draw as penalty strokes will be held on Friday due to overcrowding. The match started at around 7:30 pm and ended at 9:30 pm.
Meanwhile, as the news of matches -- which were scheduled to be played under floodlights -- went viral on social media, a huge rush of people descended upon the stadium.
