MUMBAI: Donald Trump has made the transition from business to TV to politics to popular culture overall, as JK Rowling tweeted that Harry Potter villain Voldemort was “nowhere near as bad” as Trump, and a mashup that dubs the original Star Wars movies with real life Trump quotes turned out surprisingly well.

I use the word surprisingly because I am a Vader fan and most certainly not a Trump supporter, so I was a bit skeptical that the real estate mogul could do justice to the all powerful Jedi knight. The mashup works precisely because Trump doesn’t do justice to Vader -- turning the fictional character who is both idolised and feared into a mockery. The exact kind of mockery Trump will be if he ever attains a position of political power, i.e, the post of President that he is gunning (and doing surprisingly well thus far) for.

So meet Donald Vader. The biggest villain in this part of the galaxy -- in reality and fiction.

The video, posted by Auralnauts -- a channel that specialises in making everything funny -- has garnered almost a million views in the three days since it was uploaded (Dec 7). “Made with 100% all natural Trump sound bites,” the description reads.
