NEW DELHI: A woman was allegedly raped inside the intensive care unit (ICU) of a hospital in Bahadurgarh of Haryana in the early hours of Saturday morning. The woman was under the influence of anaesthesia when the incident happened after she had delivered a baby through the C-section procedure.

The incident happened at the Brahm Shakti Sanjivani Hospital of the Bahadurgarh district at around 3:30 AM. The culprit can be seen getting down from a Hyundai Verna car outside the hospital, who then goes inside and molests the woman. The police have based their investigation on the basis of the CCTV grab which clearly shows man’s face.

“We have identified the man and he will soon be arrested. We have thoroughly analysed the CCTV footage and with the help of our informers we have been able to zero in on a man from Rohtak, who must be around 27-28 years old,” said Ashok Kumar, SHO Bahadurgarh, to The Citizen.

“The case is on the verge of getting solved,” he said.

The victim, 23, later told her husband who is in Delhi Police about the incident. It’s only then the incident came to light. The grab shows man entering the ICU where other inmates were sleeping on their beds and no one heard anything whilst it happened.
