NEW DELHI: For many of us, the summer means a rare opportunity in the year to tackle that challenging novel that we have been putting off. It conjures up images of hours spent on the porch, sippin’ lemonade and reading a great book, whilst the neighbourhood kids cycle past. Okay, that’s someone else’s summer and mine in reality involves long work days, 45 degree New Delhi heat, and not enough lemonade. Nevertheless, I try and follow the American tradition of a summer reading list, and spend the rest of the year researching the books I wish to put on that list.
A key part of this research is the reading list of people I admire. One such person is US President Barack Obama, and I admire him for a host of reasons, least being his foreign policy stance. Move over golf, here is the US President’s summer reading list (according to ABC News).
