India will take on Australia in the second semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2015. Both teams are in form. This could be one of the toughest matches, one of the cliff-hangers in this World Cup.

If Team India has the consistency and they deserve the best in world cricket, the Aussies are in top form. They bat down to number 8. They have fast bowlers like Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood and their vanguard Mitchell Johnson who can trouble the best in the business.

There are six reasons why Team India may find it difficult to win the semi final against Australia on March 26:

1. Australia have never crashed out in the six World Cup semis whereas India has lost two out of six semis (1987 & 1996). They tied one game against South Africa in 1999. However, the meeting is historic as this will be India’s first ever World Cup semi final with Australia .

2. Australia haven’t lost an ODI on their home ground for the last couple of years.

3. India has faced Australia in 10 world cup encounters where Australia hold a 7-3 advantage.

4. Australia will have the home advantage.

5. Australia is superior to Team India in both the batting and bowling lineup.

6. India has not won a single game against Aussies in the Tests and ODI tri-series this summer.
