1.12 pm  In Amethi, Rahul Gandhi INC is trailing 5,000 votes behind Smriti Irani BJP. In Bulandshahar where cow violence killed a police inspector, the BJP's Bhola Singh is well ahead of the BSP's Yogesh Verma. In Moradabad ST Hassan SP is ahead of the BJP candidate by 55,000 votes. Ajit Singh of the RLD is just 13,000 votes ahead of the BJP's Sanjeev Kumar Balyan in Muzaffarnagar. Feroze Gandhi BJP is well ahead of the SP in Pilibhit. Sonia Gandhi INC is 50,000 ahead in Rae Bareli. Azam Khan SP is about 70,000 ahead in Rampur

12.43 pm  Jammu and Kashmir is split evenly between the BJP and National Conference at 3 each. In Ladakh the independent candidate Sajjad Hussain is trailing behind the BJP's Jamyang Nangyal by just 2,300 votes

12.39 pm  In Maharashtra now the leads are as follows: BJP 23 Shiv Sena 20 NCP 3 Congress 1 AIMIM 1

11.07 am  In Mathura Hema Malini BJP leads by 44,000 votes. In Delhi the BJP leads in all seven seats, by large margins. The Congress is in second place in five

10.20 am  In Karnataka the BJP leads in 23 seats out of 28. In Telangana the TRS leads in 11 seats out of 17. In Andhra Pradesh the YSRCP leads in 23 out of 24 declared seats

10.17 am  In Tamil Nadu the DMK+ are leading in 36 out of 37 declared seats. In West Bengal the BJP is leading in 13 out of 37

10.13 am  In Madhya Pradesh the BJP leads in 28 seats out of 29. Pragya Singh Thakur is leading in Bhopal by 25,000 votes. In Uttar Pradesh the BJP is now leading in 55 seats

9.56 am  In Bihar the JD(U) leads in 14 seats, the BJP in 12, the Ramvilas Paswan's LJSP in five, and the RJD and CPI(ML) in one each. In Begusarai Giriraj Singh BJP now has a 22,000 vote lead over Kanhaiya Kumar CPI now in second place

9.48 am  In Kerala the CPI(M) leads in one seat and the RSP in another. The Congress, IUML and KCM are leading in the remaining 18. Rahul Gandhi leads by over 40,000 votes in Wayanad

9.45 am  In West Bengal the TMC leads in 9 seats and the BJP in 7. In Punjab the Congress leads in 8 seats out of 13, and the AAP in one

9.40 am  The BJP leads in all 25 seats in Rajasthan. The margins are narrow in Barmer - where former BJP legislator Manvendra Singh, son of Jaswant Singh defected to the Congress just before the Assembly election last year and is trailing by 9,000 votes - and in Dausa, where Jaskaur Meena BJP leads Savita Meena INC by 5,500 votes

9.36 am  Prakash Ambedkar's VBA is in second place in five Maharashtra seats. BJP+SS lead in almost all the trends declared

9.31 am  The Uttar Pradesh leads are: BJP+AD 43, SP+BSP 12, Congress 1. Danish Ali BSP is leading in Amroha by over 17,000 votes. Rajnath Singh BJP is leading in Lucknow by 12,000 votes

9.20 am  Trends are in for three seats in Delhi. The BJP leads AAP by nearly 9000 votes in South Delhi, and by a few thousand in West and North West Delhi. The DMK leads in 12 seats in Tamil Nadu

9.11 am  In Begusarai, Giriraj Singh BJP leads by 672 votes - Tanveer Hasan RJD is in second place ahead of Kanhaiya Kumar CPI

9 am  Trends are in for 187 out of 542 seats. The BJP leads in 101 and the Congress in 40
